Dr. Medha Tapiawala is a distinguished academic with a wealth of experience in teaching and research since 1991. Currently serving as a Professor at the Mumbai School of Economics and Public Policy, University of Mumbai, she has also held key administrative roles, including Acting Director of the Garware Institute of Career Education and Development. Her research interests lie in Economics of Development, Gender Economics, and the Economics of Climate Change and Resource Development. Dr. Tapiawala has led several significant research projects, including ongoing work for IMPRESS, Delhi, and completed studies on multidimensional poverty, skewed sex ratios, and the economic implications of gender bias.
