Prof. (Dr.) Jayashree Shinde is the Head of the Department of Educational Technology at SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai, and also holds the additional charge of Dean, Interdisciplinary Studies at the University. With 29 years of experience in the field, she has made significant contributions to educational technology, eLearning, instructional design, and ICT-based training. Dr. Shinde is the Director of the Malaviya Mission of Teacher Training Centre of the UGC and has previously served as the Director of the Teaching Learning Centre under the 'Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission for Teachers and Teaching,' Ministry of Education, GoI. She has been actively involved in national initiatives for NEP implementation, contributing to committees on Blended Learning, Innovative Pedagogy, and Educational Technology. Dr. Shinde has led multiple research and development projects, with a cumulative sanctioned amount exceeding ₹10 Crore, including collaborations with the Commonwealth of Learning, Canada. Her influence extends internationally, having conducted training in several countries and served as a mentor and Hub-coordinator of Asia for UNESCO Slovenia's "Open Education for Better World" project. She also plays a pivotal role in various advisory and editorial boards, including NCERT’s MOOCs Advisory Committee and the UGC Care-listed Indian Journal of Educational Technology. Prof. Shinde’s work continues to shape the future of educational technology and teacher training in India and beyond.
